FLAMES!

It's been about a week since my "incident" so I guess I'm feeling comfortable enough to talk about it without cringing:

Last Tuesday (before all the rain came) Jace and I were just having a normal kind of day. I opened the arcadia doors to the backyard and Jace was playing right by the door. I decided to take advantage of an occupied baby so I started to make lunch and I opened up a package of noodles. As I'm getting ready to put the water in, Jace starts heading towards the rocks and rosebushes so I throw my lunch in the microwave real fast, set the timer for 5 minutes and run to go grab Jace. We are playing outside an I hear the microwave ding...and I look inside and the kitchen is full of smoke and there are FLAMES IN THE MICROWAVE!!! So I set Jace down, run inside, and like a big dummy, I open the microwave so that even more smoke fills the house! Then I slam shut the microwave, which extinguishes the flames thankfully and I run back out to grab Jace who is headed back to the rosebushes. Long story short, I run around like a crazy lady for about 10 more minutes until I get the remains of the noodle package (which caught on fire because I didn't put any water!) outside, the windows opened, and a few things thrown in Jaces bag because the smoke is so bad we can't stay in the house. Ugh, so it took me all week to deal with the aftermath of a microwave fire. We still need to buy a microwave but at least the house doesn't reek anymore. I know I'm a smart person but I have done some really stupid things...I'll add this to my list!

So while I am talking about stupid things that I have done...see the picture below? Jace managed to squeeze himself into the bucket which I though was hilarious so I go grab the camera and snap a quick picture (below). What you don't see is about 2 seconds after this picture, Jace tips the bucket over, and face plants into the purple/green toy right in front if him. You can't tell from the tiny picture, but if you click on the picture you can see it full size, and see that it is not a nice texture for a faceplant! So he had a big rasberry on his face for a couple of days and I felt so bad because I totally could have prevented it if I didn't have the darn camera in my hand!!
These picture are from after the half marathon my Mom and I ran last weekend!! My Mom finished about 15 minutes faster than I did!!!

And these pictures were taken right after the big win by the colts yesterday! GO COLTS!!

Chula wanted a decent picture of herself up on the blog...I couldn't get a good one of her and Jace at the same time!
